BORNITE   Keyes #1 Mine, Orange, NH
2.5 mm field of view

Species:           BORNITE
Locality:          Keyes Mine, Orange, NH
Specimen Size: 2.5 mm field of view
Field Collected: Leroy Grant - 1970's
Catalog No.: u2237
Notes: The specimen with the torbernite also had this zone with likely bornite (or perhaps chalcopyrite). As torbernite is a secondary uranium-copper mineral, it is satisfying to see a source of primary copper close by. Not a spectacular photo, but a voucher specimen for bornite at Keyes. I will test it.
